rainbow tables at Shmoocon

I am willing to offer my home connection with what I can gather from the
con to those who can't attend.

Anyone have some ideas on how to reduce duplicate tables? This will save
space as well.

Where we planning on storing the box and how are people planning on
getting the files?

I would like to have it either at the pauldotcom table or in someones
room so our hardware is secure, someplace we can trust since it is going
to take forever to upload/download the tables.

If anyone needs I can bring a Cisco 3500XL 24 Port switch, just let me
know if it is helpful.

I'm gonna be running back to my house and back during the con where I
have lots of available disk space. If it really gets out of hand (one
can only hope) I may take several trips of data with me.

How much space depends on how much people bring. I'm bringing a 1.5tb
to host everything, if that gets filled then I'm sure we can do
something about it.

Password lists, default password lists and word lists are welcome as well.

As for people who aren't coming, I'm sure we can work something out
afterwards. Maybe torrent or for large things we can post disks around
I suppose.

Great! Such a generous person. I'll bring along some that I've
worked up in the past.

Thanks to Darren we are going to have a machine at Shmoocon. I'll be
bringing a big disk and the plan is to have a private network with NFS
and Samba shares, anyone can plug in and upload and download tables.

I'm going to send out invites to a couple of other lists, lets hope we
can get a good collection together.

Greetings,

i have yet to have the pleasure of being let out of the bunker to
attend Shmoocon. Please forgive the noob question but what exactly are the
Rainbox tables that everyone is talking about?

thanks,

Ask Google, there are loads of descriptions but here is an overview
from Wikipedia

if it will help with Drobo. I was going to check

with them to see if

they'd> be a sponsor at the...

I've shouted @drobo on twitter a couple of times but

now heard

anything back so feel free to get in touch. I was

thinking similar to

you about giving it away but rather than giving having

it as an item

in the HFC silent auction. Gets them some cash, Drobo

a charity to

make it worth while and gets us a drobo.

If we can't get them to help then maybe we could get

someone else to

sponsor a cheap machine with a big disk(s) or even

just a couple of

disks and caddies to run them as external drives. Then

all we need is

a gigabit switch and some network cables.
