Hey Adrian... Not sure if you've seen here: http://nmap.org/movies.html It's got quite a few examples of nmap being used in movies and there is a few real IPs such as 205.217.153.53 and 205.217.153.62 from Die Hard 4.0...centralops says they're owned by http://savvis.net/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx :P Cheers, Ali On Sun, Jul 5, 2009 at 6:51 AM, Adrian Crenshaw <irongeek at irongeek.com>wrote:
Hi all, I'm sure most of you notice that movies an tv shows use phone numbers with the area code 555 so that others are not disturbed, but what about IPs? Some shows use no-routables like 192.168.*.*, 10.*.*.* and 172.*.*.*, Some use impossible IPs like 302.12.321.32. But sometime TV shows and movies use real IPs, can you think of examples? The attached screen shot is an example for Smallville. http://whois.domaintools.com/74.4.102.10 I know this seems kind of trivial, but it's sort of fun to figure out how these IPs are related to the producation companies.
