wrt54g v5 any good?

Again, DD-WRT is just a fancy GUI on OpenWrt.  Recently OpenWrt has
added a nice GUI using LuCI (http://luci.freifunk-halle.net/).  Check it
out!

All depends on what you want to do with the router...
