Where does nmap handle SIGXCPU?

I'm running nmap on a system with limited cpu time, and nmap sometimes exits with CPU time limit exceed.

But from the source code I didn't see anywhere handling SIGXCPU, where is the relevant source code then?

Is it handled by a third-party library?
