James,

I verified the integrity of the Nmap 7.70 installer on the nmap.org
webserver directly, and there is no corruption. The file size should be
exactly 27530328 bytes, and the sha-1 checksum is
65277df23beec56a375edc653ff8c9b0e181258c. You have several options for
verifying download integrity:

1. Verify that the file itself is signed with Insecure.org LLC's code
signing certificate, with a valid certificate chain back to a trusted
issuer on Windows systems.
2. Verify the GPG signature of the file from
https://nmap.org/dist/sigs/nmap-7.70-setup.exe.asc, signed with the Nmap
Project Signing Key as described in
https://svn.nmap.org/nmap/docs/nmap_gpgkeys.txt
3. Verify any of the file checksums from
https://nmap.org/dist/sigs/nmap-7.70-setup.exe.digest.txt

Hi guys,

I tried to install NMap and Zenimap on my Windows 10 Pro x64 OS, but
attempting to run the .msi available from the nmap.org website resulted
in an NSIS Error message stating the following:

"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete
download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new
copy."

Just to be sure, I tried to download it again a few more times on the off
chance that my internet connection did encounter some kind of problem. No
dice, I got the same error message and the files were the same size (26.3
MB). I know that this release is two and a half weeks old, but I thought
that you would want to know about this. And I'm sorry if this is a known
issue and message is redundant in any way, shape, or form.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Kind regards,

James Guido
