Hi Folks, And week by week I am learning a lot about NMAP and open source. This is the third status report which counts inside the community bonding period hence officially coding hasn't begun though I have started writing few lines to make my life little easy later. This week mostly consisted of breaking down few problem into fragments and understanding the code. Then there was a streak of orientation emails from Fyodor. In the upcoming I will be working even more extensively for NSE related features in NMAP so if you want to see something or have suggestion with regard to this then please let me know. Accomplishments ~ Worked over https://github.com/nmap/nmap/issues/64, finalized the approach and would be putting up pull request for the same very soon. ~ Resumed my work over https://github.com/nmap/nmap/pull/300 . It would be great to listen from developers with regard to this patch. ~ Consolidated previous patches for http.lua and http-form-brute since starting of its git repository in order to solve the problem present at https://github.com/nmap/nmap/issues/264. ~ Priorities ~ All of the NSE related features will be my topmost priority. Among them also here are few which I have spotted 1. Logging results even if host-timeout has occured ( same as https://github.com/nmap/nmap/issues/64 ) 2. Script-timeout feature 3. Providing better accountability for NSE scripts. 4. Fixing few issues related with http-form-brute. The script can be made more robust and little fast by running it with multiple threads.
