Hi Chhandan, Nmap takes host names, not HTTP URLs. Please pass only someweb.com. If you only need to scan port 80 you can pass -p80 to avoid scanning the default 1k ports. Hope that helps, Luis. -- Sent from a cellphone. Apologies for the brevity or any typos. On 21 Mar 2015 11:57, "chhandan singha" <cskkman () gmail com> wrote:
Hi all, I tried simple namp scan on a url cpied from the browser; I tried " nmap http://someweb.com/sth" and I got something like WARNING: No targets were specified, so 0 hosts scanned. Nmap done: 0 IP addresses (0 hosts up) scanned in 4.26 seconds I feel nmap should be able to scan after getting appropriate hostname from the supplied url if url is given. _______________________________________________ Sent through the dev mailing list https://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
