Dear mentors, I have discussed with someone from the #nmap IRC and he asked me to share my proposal hither where is the best place to start. I'm going to do it, but not right now, because I have to dig more on the position I'm interested in, to give a clear idea of my proposal for you and for me too. In the point, I'm really interested in *Nmap Scripting Engine—Script Developers* <http://nmap.org/soc/#nsescripts> as a *web scanning specialist* or *discovery scanning specialist*. In addition, I don't really know Lua, but I have a good background in C/C++ (Qt) programming language (plus Java/Android too). Does it makes a drawback of not knowing Lua programming language ? I guess not, because of it : "quickly learn the (simple) Lua scripting language" which I'm sure I can deal with before the proposal, but I'm waiting a response to be sure it's not a inconvenient in my proposal. Last, I'm wondering if it's recommended to write in the final proposal that I'm very willing and interested to be a part of the nmap team even after GSoC ? Thanks for your time. Best regards, s0h3ck. Note : To save your precious time, you can just write yes or no to my questions. Enjoy ;)
