Zenmap GUI problems in OSX 10.9.5

Did a little more digging as to why I couldn’t launch Zenmap. This might help troubleshoot my problem. When I try to
run Zenmap from the Terminal, it prompts for my password, then opens a new window prompting for my password, and resets
the command line in terminal. then Zenmap gives me an error message window with the options of either Terminating or
opening the console. In the console I have these entries when I try to run Zenmap:

hopefully this helps lead to a solution. At this point I am almost 100% positive that it is something I am doing wrong
but I’m not sure what it is. I have GTK+, PyGTK, Xcode, Xquartz, installed and nmap works in the Terminal.
