Thanks Jacek. Got the instructions from Daniel and submitted the fingerprint. I'm probably running latest version since I downloaded and installed 2 days ago. cheers, Shamir +972 52 599 3003 -----Original Message----- From: Jacek Wielemborek [mailto:d33tah () gmail com] Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2014 8:39 PM To: Shamir Stein; dev () nmap org Subject: Re: nmap bug report 02.09.2014 09:17, Shamir Stein:
Hi We noticed that running a scan on our devices indicates wrong Operating System details on the host details tab. It mentions OS name is ZyXEL GS1910 switch, but this is not the case. My guess is that both this switch above and our product share the same base OS (eCos) and that OS is registered in nmap as ZyXEL.
Hello, What Nmap version were you using? Daniel recently integrated a lot of OS fingerprints, it is possible that this was already reported and fixed in the latest release. If it was not, please report OS fingerprint corrections here: http://insecure.org/cgi-bin/submit.cgi?new-os Yours, Jacek Wielemborek ************************************************************************************ This footnote confirms that this email message has been scanned by PineApp Mail-SeCure for the presence of malicious code, vandals & computer viruses. ************************************************************************************ _______________________________________________ Sent through the dev mailing list http://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
