…than after changing directory and trying to execute Zenmap directly it said the following…

Nikola and Aaron,

This is a library linking problem introduced by the upgrade process. Your best chance is to delete the 
/Applications/Zenmap.app directory and re-install Zenmap. Please let us know if this solves your problem.
