Just like the title says, Nmap will not scan anything as root. It says 0 hosts are up. I have verified with wireshark, no ping requests or traffic of any kind, is being sent out by Nmap. It does not seem to be an issue with the root account, as root can ping anything. It's only something to do with root and Nmap. Any ideas? _______________________________________________ Sent through the dev mailing list http://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
Could you add "-d9" switch to your command line? What system are you running? Any special configuration? (perhaps it chose the wrong interface? Could you try out the -e switch?) _______________________________________________ Sent through the dev mailing list http://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
