Hello, TL;DR: Here is a (big) patch that makes nsock considerably faster by reducing the overhead of spawning timers, and by extensively using them. Testing would be much appreciated, especially on windows, where I became quite good at breaking things recently. [...]
Hello, Did anyone have an opportunity to test this patch? It is eventually to be followed by other important changes in nsock core data structures and in order to get things validated step by step I'd like this first patch to land before the next release, so that it receives large testing from users.
