GSOC Script writers

HI all,
I am interested in GSOC discovery script writer position. now I am learning
Lua and i hope to submit some scripts before 22nd. can any one suggest me
some good scripts to study and if you can please note areas you would like
to explore in network discovery so we can work on them and provide some
good test scripts.
