Welcome to the dev () nmap org mailing list! The Nmap dev list is
intended to facilitate the development of the free Nmap Security
Scanner.  It provides an unmoderated forum for people to contribute
ideas, patches, suggestions, etc.  We also discuss the pros and cons
of proposed changes to Nmap.  Thus this list also serves as a sort of
developmental "steering committee".  New (test/beta) versions of Nmap
may sometimes be released here prior to general availability for
quality assurance purposes.

Anyone hardcore enough to subscribe to nmap-dev should probably also
subscribe to the Nmap announcement list
(http://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/announce), a moderated list for
nmap-related announcements.

This list is reasonably high volume (sometimes 10+ posts per day).
Archives are available at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/. Non-members
can post, but such posts go through moderation to prevent spam.

To post to this list, send your message to:

  dev () nmap org

General information about the mailing list is at:

  http://nmap.org/mailman/listinfo/dev

If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to
or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your
subscription page at:

  http://nmap.org/mailman/options/dev/bobicek2002%40yahoo.com

You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to:

  dev-request () nmap org

with the word `help' in the subject or body (don't include the
quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions.

You must know your password to change your options (including changing
the password, itself) or to unsubscribe without confirmation.  It is:

  rakrak

Normally, Mailman will remind you of your nmap.org mailing list
passwords once every month, although you can disable this if you
prefer.  This reminder will also include instructions on how to
unsubscribe or change your account options.  There is also a button on
your options page that will email your current password to you.
