I try to compile the sourcecode of nmap-6.25 on my Mac (OS X 10.5.8) system
I always get the error
configure: error: Your version of OpenSSL does not support SHA-256. Please
install OpenSSL 0.9.8 or later.
configure: error: ./configure failed for nping

I also check if openssl is the latest Bash gave me this
OpenSSL 1.0.1c 10 May 2012
I also tested if the sha256 is avaible and works result
MD5(/SHAd256_Test_Vectors.txt)= 08533292d4a140fac0c3a7aa798c1302
I have put the config.log from the nmap dir after the configure error and the
test file
I hope this enough information for solving the problem
thank you in advance

Thanks for this. I think we need the config.log from the nping
directory, because that's where this check is.

Do you maybe have more than one version of OpenSSL installed?
