nsock filespace cleanup

Hi,

for information, I've just committed r30444. It removes dead code
related to nsock's internal I/O buffers (filespaces) and aims to
improve code consistency and cleanness. It's all very minor, but
please let me know if there was a reason to keep these unused
functions (or if you notice any problem, indeed!).
