Henri,

So sorry to have to say this, but I'm seeing similar behavior to this bug:
http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/2012/q3/56 (using the poll engine this time). I
can't remember exactly how it all went, but I can probably reproduce under
GDB some time if you want details. Initial debug log attached.

Dan

Hi Dan,

thanks a lot for testing. Seems to me that this bug will never die! :)
I don't know yet what is the cause of the problem. The fix we had for
trunk (and which is integrated in this branch) was common to all
engines... Just in case I have updated my branch, merging changes from
trunk. I have also added an assert() to engine_poll.c (in the same
commit, sorry) that might help detecting bad situations.

I'll take more time to look for a bug in engine_poll.c, but it might
be that there's still something, either in nsock or in the upper NSE
layers. In which case trunk is probably affected as well...

A full nsock trace (-d9 and grep for lines starting with NSOCK) would
be extremely helpful, send offlist maybe.

Regards.
