Hello Everyone,
I am keen to get into script writing for Nmap and contribute to
one of my most favorite tool. I have been doing the lua tutorials and
also reading the nmap scripts for some time now. I have been to the
script ideas page, and I just want to know some of the ideas that will
suit a beginner like me. I liked the MS print spooler service
impersonation idea and i am thinking of starting with it as of now..

Hi dhritiman,

I'm glad to hear you're looking to contribute. To be honest I think the MS
print spooler service impersonation may be somewhat of a huge undertaking
as I doubt we have all the necessary RPC functions in place in our
libraries. If your looking for something easier to start with, these could
be possible candidates:
- implementing the Windows version lookup function I just added to the
Script Ideas wiki
- http-sitemap-generator script (you could base the code of existing spider
scripts)
- porting brute scripts to the brute framework (the mysql-brute has already
been started)

Also, I know David requested help with sv-tidy.py, you can read more about
this here:

Cheers,
Patrik
