NMAP 5.51 error on compile source in ubuntu

Hello, I can't compile and run the nmap 5.51 in ubuntu 11.10, I try 
compile with "make" command but it return this:
make[1]: g++: Command not found
make[1]: *** [netutil.o] Error 127

So, exist any fix for this issue?
