Hello list,

Does running several Nmap scans in parallel from the same box affect Nmap's
accuracy?

If I have two IP ranges to scan, would scanning both ranges in parallel
provide less relevant results then scanning both ranges with the same
command?

Usually it's safe because Nmap's scanning modes choose ranges of source
ports randomly, to reduce the chance that two separate nmaps will
interpret the same response packet. And that's only really a concern if
you are scanning the same addresses simultaneously. If you are scanning
separate address ranges then there's nothing to worry about.
