Hello, Accomplishments: 1) Rewrote the updater client to make more sense, use a manifest system and fix numerous bugs with how it was set up before. It now makes no special distinction for binaries, only downloads changed files, Deals with multiple files with the same name properly, only updates what is installed on your machine, only copies what has changed, and has a much simpler option system. 2) Rewrote the server build script to use the new updater and fixed my incorrect cron job. Now the server automatically builds nmap and then repackages it into a form the client expects. 3) Worked with david to get my dual listening branch for ncat into a decent shape with regards to merging. Waiting on his approval of the final diff before merging. 4) Meeting with david Goals 1) Merge the dual listening branch. 2) Make the updater store its downloads in a subdirectory. Right now its a little ugly. 3) Test the updater a lot. Make sure the automated build system is working. _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
