Re: speed problems on freebsd, including NEW patch

Underneath a new patch to solve speed problems on FreeBSD. 
Note that it _may_ also work for MacOSX users. The patch should
significantly speed up local scans, while not slowing down remote
ones (see my previous post for timing results). If there are MacOSX users
here who could test the patch and mail me if it works for them, I would
be grateful.
