odd error msg

Ran a scan tonight and got this as a result -
Starting Nmap 5.35DC1 (http://nmap.org) at 2010-11-10 21:56 EST
nmap: relocation error: /lib/libnss_files.so.2: symbol __rawmemchr, version
GLIBC_2.2.5 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

This is a compiled version running on Ubuntu 10.04 (Debian) LTS.

Can someone on the list point me to the resolution for this?
