I merged what I've been working on in regard to this in r17300.

This is great.  I rely on XML output heavily.  I just SVN up'd and I'll
get another round of scans going.  I think this is a huge improvement
to Nmap so it's great that you've implemented it so quickly and
apparently smoothly.

I'll report back any issues (or lack of) that I come across.
