To Author of nmap

I recently downloaded nmap today (Nov. 5th 2009 0800). I download the GUI of
nmap v. 5.00. I ensure WinCap was installed, and yet, when running the .exe
file of nmap, it does not run except it close quickly after it has been
executed. In fact, it works under CLI (DOS CL).

I was looking for a GUI, and a version of ZenMap, which is not included in
the package of nmap as so noted by the author reported on the insecure.orgsite.

Any information would be great.

Addendum: I am running Win 7 x64, 4GB Ram, on a new Dell laptop.
