Thanks for pointing those out. Actually I am not even sure I want to go the route I am after taking a quick look at the nsock pcap routines; I wrote a tiny sniffer for work using libpcap (which is where I drug code in from); the reason for writing it was to have a sniffer with a smaller footprint.
