I agree that this module could be extremely useful. I'm planning on
putting a lot of work into some SMB stuff, but a good implementation of
the SMB protocol pretty much uses all the popular encryption/hashing
functions (so far I've run across DES, MD4, MD5, and HMAC-MD5). Having
OpenSSL bindings would make life a whole lot easier for me!
