Thank you for your input, that definitely sounds like it would be a good
idea and I will be sure to include it in my application. I'll have to look
into what protocols and other libraries would be useful.

I think writing nselib libraries is very important.  Maybe you can write
one for NetBIOS and SMB like Brandon described [1].

Sven Klemm wrote a great HTTP library not too long ago; maybe you can
write other libraries for common protocols.  There are a couple SMTP
scripts that could potentially benefit from an SMTP library.  FTP could
be another good one.  Even if only one existing NSE script uses a
certain protocol, many more will in the future.

Because the possibilities are boundless with NSE, IMO new libraries are
the best thing to start working on.  Of course, converting existing
scripts to use the library and creating new scripts to utilize the
library is important, too.
