Fyodor has a point in saying that the script is rather long. Wouldn't  
it be more interesting to have the ripe query generics in the nselib?  
That large table with lua patterns for whois fields looks like a good  
candidate for the library. You'd then have API call in the lines of  
whois(host) and it'd return a table with the fields.
