Need help: scan a firewall enabled n/w

Hi All,
   
  Is there any way we can scan the firewall enabled network? 
  If we can able to do this with nmap tool, Can you please direct me?
   
  I would like to scan entire organization network (inc. firewall enabled), Please let me know all the possibilities to 
do this task.
   
  It will be great if you can reply as soon as possible.
