Hello nmap-dev, this is the final SoC release of the NSE scanning engine. Further development of the NSE engine will be done only if it is included in the main nmap distribution. The decision wether to add NSE to nmap will be made based on feedback to this final release. Even if you have tested NSE before, make sure you have a look at the docs, there have been some significant changes: * scripts can now belong to multiple categories * the execution order of scripts can be predetermined by providing a unixish runlevel * you can now get/set the version information of a port. In combination this makes for a highly flexible -sV extension. Source tar balls can be found at: http://xover.mud.at/~diman/nmap/nmap-4.20ALPHA4-NSE.tgz or http://xover.mud.at/~diman/nmap/nmap-4.20ALPHA4-NSE.tar.bz2 Windows binaries are here: http://xover.mud.at/~diman/nmap/nmap-4.20ALPHA4-NSE.zip and the windows self installer is here: http://xover.mud.at/~diman/nmap/nmap-4.20ALPHA4-NSE.exe enjoy the new version, I hope you like it :) If you think that NSE is a valuable feature, please let us know, otherwise it might never make it into nmap! cheers Diman _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev Archived at http://SecLists.Org
