Hi walnut,

By default nmap will attempt to look up the hostnames associated
with the IPs you scan. If you don't have DNS servers the easiest fix
is probably to follow kx's advice and add -n to the command line.

Alternatively, you could configure a local DNS server or put the
IPs and hostnames into the file /etc/hosts.
