Funny I have the same DNS error too :(
I run Windows XP SP2, everything is patched.

Either nmap thinks you're on the same subnet as
these hosts and is
trying to get a MAC address or it's actually just
trying to get the MAC
address of the next hop, which suggests that there's
no route? Are you
actually connected to the Internet via an ethernet
connection?  (Dial-up
results may vary)
