I have been working on porting some of the functions of nmap to the palm
pilot. All i
have working currenty is a tcp connect() sweep scan. I will be working on
other functions and if any one is interested i will freely distibute the
software. One problem that i had when trying to directly port nmap to the
palm was that i ran out of heap. There is only 64k for the operating
system and when you enable the netlibrary for the palm it takes twice as
much memory. If you would like to talk more drop me an email. I will put
everything i have done so far on a site tonight.

Hello world,

Has anybody ported nmap to PalmOS? Is it practical?

Some benefits for security consultants :-)
1] When one is on-site, one can immediately follow up leads
     gathered via social engineering,
2] Portability and easy concealment of tools,
3] Multiple devices for shorter scan times,
4] Use of more expensive laptops/PCs for other compute-
     intensive operations...
