May someone can comment...

I recently set up nmap on a RedHat 5.1 machine.  I ran it a couple of times against an HP-UX on the same network and 
everything was fine.  But then yesterday I ran it again, and afterwards I lost network connectivity on the Linux.  It 
won't recognize the ethernet card.  Does anyone know if this could be at all related to nmap?  Just curious...
