We got this modem and router all in one box from Comcast directly. And by the way, home use routers don't assign 
10.0.0.0 numbers.

Is your MacBook directly connected to the modem or a router? I presume the latter.

I think Comcast is using CGN too!!! My IP address displayed on my MacBook is in the 10.0.0.0/8 range, and ARIN 
website can't determine my IP address either.
