OpenNMS is ok, depending on your needs. At the level we've needed it to scale, it's failed miserably. We've also had reliability issues with it, but some are associated with it's scaling issues.

I'm looking at depolying an open source-based NMS solution, and I'm

I've never really heard of it and I'm wondering if anyone has any

an install/configuration. Is there something wrong with it, and that's
why I've never heard of anyone using it? Am I just out of the loop?
Even better would be someone who's used both products and could give

OpenNMS is rock solid. It's definitely not as easy to configure as some of
the others (especially as far as graphing is concerned), but it's getting
better. Incredibly reliable however, and scales extremely well.

Very helpful mailing list also.

I'd definitely recommend giving it a test run.
