Just in case there's anybody here who has forgotten about it, the  
NANOG list has a FAQ:

  http://www.nanog.org/listfaq.html

which includes the entry, for example:

  http://www.nanog.org/listfaq.html#noclist

  "Q: Is there a list of Network Operations Centers?
   A: Why, yes, there is. You may find it at http://puck.nether.net/ 
netops/."

The FAQ could use an HREF to Fergie's Tech Blog, I think, which I  
might suggest shortly if I'm not distracted by more exploding switches.

Followups set to nanog-futures (as we used to say back when usenet  
was still used for conversations between humans, and wasn't just a 7- 
bit-encoded newsbin transport fabric).
