Part of Qwest is telling customers it is working very hard to make this change as fast, and as painless as possible. The other part of Qwest is telling customers, Duh, never heard of ATM. As best I can tell, if you are buying Qwest "IP" service, this won't affect you. If you are buying Qwest "ATM" service, it will affect you. Of course, carriers buying dark fiber services from Qwest will not be affected by whatever shenigans are going on at layer 2/3/4/5/6/7.
I think you hit it. I don't believe that Qwest IP service make use of the ATM cloud. I think they run all of their high capacity stuff POS. So they probably know nothing. R.
