Taxi fare in D.C. can be confusing at times (all those different
'zones'), but it's not too terribly expensive.

Just keep in mind that the Metro is not 24-hour service.  It closes down
around midnight.  If you think you'll be staying late in DC, take note
of when the last train home leaves so you don't miss it.
