www.whitehouse.gov down for 24 hours

In case your NOCs get phone calls from customers reporting they can't
reach the White House.

The Associated Press is reporting the www.whitehouse.gov web site will
be down for 24 hours due to hacking activity originating in Hong Kong.
Over the weekend, the White House web site was reportly down briefly
due to an unrelated equipment problem.

In other Washington outage news, Bell Atlantic is working yet another
cable cut in the District, 7,000 people without phone service.  Over
the weekend MFS had an OC-12 equipment failure near the Capital.
