Mererpreter linux keylogger

Hello,
I ran meterpreter a linux system,
meterpreter > sysinfo
OS           : Linux xxx 2.6.18-53.el5 #1 SMP Wed Oct 10 16:34:02 EDT 2007
(i686)
Computer     : xxxx
Architecture : i686
Meterpreter  : x86/linux

I want to sniff key strong this machine, i tested meterpreter keyscan
command and keylogrecorder scripts but these didn't capture.

Do you have any idea for this ?
