hi, i quite new to metasploit, but heard a lot about it. i am interested to explore way the Vulnerability scan and exploit is made. i am facing problems in installing metasploit in Windows XP dedicated system for this i installe metasploit 3.0 from archive and updated it to 3.8. but, i am unable to create any database, whether database is mandatory for this ? i am not clear with installation procedure, and how to setup a basic sytem for running exploit, ie , that to know the available weekness of the neighbour computers in work place. is it mandatory to do this use only LInux or can it be done using Windows. please give your opinion and guidance regards jambunathan.m.s india On Wed, Jun 15, 2011 at 11:47 AM, HD Moore <hdm () metasploit com> wrote:
