First of all, congratulations and thanks!

(It's allways easier to flame than to provide stuff.)

I did the same approach a long time ago in theXploit tool development.
It does the same thing as MetaScanner, ubuilding a database with
port-service/exploits matches and use nmap (or another scanner).
It comes as a GUI because it's more simple to right click an exploit and
choose a payload, etc... and use also an opcodes db to have exploitation
more reliable.

If I can help you, just let me know.
I'll try to release something soon.

Cheers

i am happy to announce that MetaScanner V1.1 is out now!
-what is it?-
MetaScanner is a script in ruby to scan a host for exploits than are
already in metasploit framework.
-what is it not?-
this is not a vulnerability scanner and may report some few false puritives
-what for?-
how many times have you scanned a host using nmap and then tried
different exploits from the framework? this tool automates that for
you.
-wow where can i find it?-
you can find it on http://kalgecin.110mb.com
