app flooding test

Instead of coding with SPIKE, I am thinking about doing more with MSF:) To test our tcp server, I want to forks out 
thousands of clients by msf. There are less than 10 short messages back and forth between s and c. Each client 
simulator will talk to target server with same messages.

Is msf/ruby is good for this (running on P4 1.0G laptop with Kubuntu 7.10). Is there any code I can use as template. 

BTW, before reading the code of msf, there is any doc for development based on msf? Thanks.
