In most cases, the only log you will find on Windows systems is an event generated by the service control manager stating that the service unexpectedly failed. In the case of web server exploits, there is a chance that the last log entry before the service crashed actually points back to the attacker, but it really depends on the exploit. -HD On Monday 24 April 2006 05:23, arya.amita at gmail.com wrote:
Hi, I wanted to know if there is any way to find out the visible effects of an exploit on the OS ( or some kind of logs are generated).
