I've seen it work on an OSX box and have seen screenshots of people
using it from a Linux install, so I'm pretty sure it should work fine.
Do you notice any difference in output when running the exploit from Linux 
vs. XP?  It might be worth pasting the output when exploiting from the
Linux box to see if there are any obvious issues.
