Hello!

The CS Department at Purdue University is in the process of significant
growth spurt.  The university has authorized a major increase over the
next few years -- and that includes new faculty positions at every
academic level:  assistant, associate, and full professor.

Because of the prominent roles CS faculty play in cyber security,
privacy, and cyber crime research, a significant number of those open
positions may go to candidates who have one or more of these areas as a
primary or secondary research focus. Any such faculty would be welcomed
to participate in CERIAS, of course. (CERIAS is a research institute,
not an academic department, and as such does not hire academic
faculty -- our faculty are in academic departments, including CS.)

If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested in
joining one of the oldest, largest and best known academic security
groups in the world, please refer to
https://www.cerias.purdue.edu/site/faculty_positions for more details.
(The official CS ad is available at
https://www.cs.purdue.edu/hiring/faculty2013.html; the page on the
CERIAS site links to the CS ad but also provides more general
information, so we suggest you look there first. However, consult the
CS ad for specifics on qualifications and application.)

You can pass along the general news that Purdue CS is hiring, but we
are making an extra effort to get some excellent hires in security &
privacy.  Please help us spread the word.
