The incident prompted an urgent review of Westminster’s protection against ‘cyber terrorist’ attacks.
MPs arrived at their Commons offices this month to discover that the phone network had crashed overnight.
Claire Perry, Tory MP for Devizes, found that her voicemail had been changed to ask callers whether they had recently indulged in a sex act.
